Rinaldi-Crow Family Fund Benefit
The City of Harrington Recreation Department mourns the loss of Kelly D. Rinaldi, Jacob Rinaldi,15; Kaylee Crow, 7; Jessup Crow, 5; and Kyle Crow, 5, (twin of Jessup); who died tragically on November 10th as a result of an automobile accident. Jason Crow, Kelly's fiance, has volunteered as a soccer coach with the Harrington Recreation Department for many years. Jacob enjoyed assisting Jason with coaching of the younger children. Kaylee, Jessup, and Kyle were all active soccer players for several years. Kelly will be missed cheering on her children from the sidelines. Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone who has been affected by this tragedy. A memorial fund has been established to assist Mr. Crow and his surviving daughter, Jaydin, both of who were not in the accident.

The Harrington Recreation Department will be sponsoring a soup and sandwich benefit for the Rinaldi-Crow Family Fund. The benefit will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 4pm-8pm. We will be offering chicken noodle or vegetable beef soup and chicken salad sandwiches. The meal will also include a drink and dessert. The cost of the meal will be $6.00. In addition to the soup and sandwich sale, we will be offering a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and live auction throughout the night. Included in the live auction is a chance to close out the last drive-in movie theater in Delaware at Diamond State Drive Inn Theater.
The benfit will be held at The City of Harrington Recreation Department Armory located at 114 East Liberty Street, Harrington. The Harrington Recreation Department is asking the community to help support this benefit by donating items for the silent acution or by volunteering to help with the benefit.

FINAL DANCE REGISTRATION
Registration for ballet, jazz, and hip-hop will be accepted until December 1, 2008. If you have any questions or would like more information please contact our office.
HARRINGTON HURRICANE CHEERLEADING
The Harrington Recreation Department will be holding try-outs and open sign-ups for the Harrington Hurricane Cheerleading Program. This year we will be welcoming back for her third year as our head coach, Courtney Gerardi. Mrs. Gerardi has over 15years of cheerleading experience and is nationally accredited.
This year we will be offering 3 cheer squads to offer the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the sport of cheerleading. The Hurricane Cheerleading Program will start in December 2008 and conclude at the end of May 2009. Each Participant will receive a practice uniform consisting of 1 t-shirt and 1 pair of shorts.
Advanced Competitive
Ages 8-15
Placement on this squad will require the participant to try-out for the squad.
Practices will be on Thursday nights 6pm - 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am- 12noon.
The advanced competitive squad will compete in a minimum of 3 competitions.
Cost of the Advanced Competitive squad will be $80.00 per month plus the cost of competition fees. There will be an additional cost for the uniform of approximately $195.00.
Novice Competitive
Ages 8- 15
This is a team designed to teach the skills necessary for cheerleading.
Practices will be on Wednesday nights from 7pm - 8:30pm and on Friday nights from 6pm- 8pm.
This Novice Competitive Squad will compete in a minimum of 2 competitions. Cost of the Novice Competitive Squad will be $55 per month plus the cost of competition fees. There will be an additional cost for the uniform of approximately $165.00.
Tiny Cheer Squad
Ages 4-7
This team will learn the basic skills and dance movements of cheerleading.
Our Tiny Cheer Squad will practice on Wednesday nights from 5:45pm - 6:45pm.
The cost of the Tiny Cheer Squad will be $30.00 per month.
This will be an exhibition squad and will not participate in any competitions.
Try out and Sign up Information
Try- outs for the ADVNACED COMPETITIVE SQUAD will be on Sunday November 23rd from 2pm - 6pm at The City of Harrington Recreation Department Building located at 114 East Liberty Street.
Sign ups for the Novice Competitive Squad and Tiny Cheer Squad will be on Monday November 24th from 6pm-8pm at the Century Club located at 103 Dorman Street in Harrington. We will begin with an overview of the program and expectations from the participants and families and with an open registration after. NO EARLY REGISTRATIONS WILL BE EXPETCED PRIOR TO SIGN-UPS. Mat Ratz Wrestling Program
This program provides safe instruction with experienced coaches on the techniques of wrestling for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The children will be divided into 2 groups.
Beginners: K-1st grade
Novice: 2nd-5th grade

ANNUAL HARRINGTON CHRISTMAS PARADE
The Annual Harrington Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 6th at 1pm. This year's theme is Olde Tyme Christmas. If you are interested in participating in the parade or would like more information please call our office at 398-7975.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to our Harrington Huskies Pee Wee Cheerleaders!!!! They placed second in their competition on October 25th in Trenton, NJ. They will return to Trenton in two weeks for the next level of competition. Way to go team!!
